Otis and Sally Marston met
and married during their college years. They both had a passion for
creativity - Sally's passion was planning and planting gardens and Otis's
passion was creating innovative and delicious dishes. Their pursuits
eventually led them to create and run Marston's Restaurant which opened
in Pasadena in 1988. Reviews by the Los Angeles Times, New
York Times and Gourmet magazine, an appearance on NBC's Travel
Café hosted by Chuck Henry and a Number One rating in the Zagat
Restaurant Guide brought people to their dining table from all over
the world. Since selling Marston's, famed for Otis's creations - California Orange Salad, White Lightnin' Chili, Bread Pudding, and Crème Brule - Otis and Sally have enjoyed launching the next phase of their creative passions. Their new cookbook Homestyle Elegance: Otis Marston's California Cuisine, their famous San Pasqual Salad Dressing and Candied Pecans are being sold in retail stores and Otis is hosting cooking demonstrations in homes and specialty stores. The 172-page book includes recipes for soups, salads, sides, sauces, entrees and desserts. Otis and Sally are pleased to present 110 recipes created by Otis when he was head chef of Martson's.
